Registration
How do I register?
Create a Sports Connect account (If you do not already have one) then add a player and choose a program. When available, current programs will be listed here.
Are all parents expected to Volunteer?
We are a 100% volunteer organization. By signing up for this league you will be asked to volunteer your time in certain capacities. This league would not exist without everyone doing their part and volunteering. We will need coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, concession stand help, field prep, trash clean up, etc.
How do I volunteer and what positions are available?
During the registration process you will be asked to volunteer for a role. Each team will require the following:
Do I have to fill out a background check form?
Little League requires all volunteers to complete a background check. Your information submitted during registration will be used to complete this check.
Do you have a refund policy?
All refunds should be requested by the player’s family through the Player Agent. The Player Agent must approve the refund and will then direct the Treasurer to refund the registration fee, minus the processing fee, according to the following guidelines:
- Partial Refund (70% of registration fee) – refund requested after evaluations but prior to division drafting
- Full Refund – refund requested prior to evaluations
- Partial Refund (50% of registration fee) – refund requested after division drafts but prior to opening day
- No Refund – refund requested after opening day
Requests for refunds made outside of the policy guidelines detailed above must be approved by The League President.
Scheduling
When does the season start?
The Spring 2025 season will begin with evaluations on February 1. Team practices begin as soon as teams are drafted, and will occur twice per week until games begin.
When does the season end?
The Spring 2025 season will run through into mid May. It is The League’s intention to schedule playoffs and wrap up the season approximately two weeks before Memorial Day.
When does my team practice?
Teams are assigned two practices per week in between draft and opening day; in general this will be one weeknight and one Saturday. After opening day the schedule will prioritize games, and practices are no longer assigned by the league. Coaches have the option to request additional practice time at their discretion, given field availability.
What days are games played?
Games are scheduled in advance, and may take place on weekday evenings or any time Saturday. The League strives to have no more than two baseball events per week, but managers may schedule additional practice time pending field availability.
When will the schedules be available?
The schedule will be available during the practice period between evaluations and opening day.
Are games made up when canceled due to weather?
Barring unforeseen weather circumstances, it's The League’s intention for every team to play twelve games. Managers are responsible for coordinating with each other, and The League’s scheduler, to make up for canceled games.
My player will need to miss one or more baseball events, is this a problem?
In general, no. Whether due to travel, other prior commitments or last-minute issues such as illness, players will occasionally miss a game. Please communicate with your manager as soon as you know this to be the case. If accommodations like pool-players or rescheduling need to occur, the more time we have the better.
Equipment
What type of equipment do I need to provide?
Glove, approved USA Baseball Bat, helmet, cleats (non-metal), bag, pants, belt and socks. Boys are also required to wear a protective cup.
How do I know if my player’s bat is USA Baseball approved?
The bat should bear the USA Baseball stamp. More information is available through Little League International.
How do I know what size bat to buy?
There are many ways to determine the correct bat size, and some manufacturers offer general guidelines on bat size as a factor of age, height, weight, etc. If you have any questions or concerns about bat size, reach out to your team’s manager or a member of The Board before purchasing one.
How do I know which color socks, pants, and belt to purchase?
This will be determined by the team manager
Player Information
What does “League Age” mean?
League Age is the age your player will be on August 31 of the current year. Little League International publishes a League Age Chart, as well as a League Age Calculator.
What are the divisions by age?
- Tee Ball – 4-6 years old
- Coach Pitch – 6-8 years old
- Minors (Kid Pitch) – 9-10 years old
- Majors (Kid Pitch) – 11-12 years old
- Intermediate (Open Bases 50/70) - 12-13 years old
- Junior/Senior (Open Bases 60/90) 14-16 years old
Why are there player evaluations?
Players in coach pitch divisions and above participate in evaluations and have the opportunity to hit, run, and field in front of managers and the board. This allows managers to draft appropriately, and the board to ensure teams are balanced fairly. Tee Ball players do not require evaluation.
When does the draft take place and are all kids drafted to a team?
The draft will take place each season immediately following player evaluations and all players will be selected.
Can I request that my player and their friend play on the same team?
Yes you can request it, but because The League is trying to field balanced teams, we may not be able to fulfill the request. All requests will be taken under consideration during the team drafts and the Managers will do their best to meet them.
Can I request that my player play for a particular coach?
Yes you can request it, but because the League is trying to field balanced teams, we may not be able to fulfill the request. All requests will be taken under consideration during the team drafts and the Managers will do their best to meet them.
Can I request that my player NOT play for a particular coach?
Yes – Little League rules allow this. You may make such a request to the player agent, league commissioner or league president.
Can I request that my player “play up” or “play down”?
Yes. Players wishing to play up should coordinate with the Player Agent. These players will need to evaluate in their own natural division, as well as the division they’re trying to move into. These players will need to be selected in the first 5 rounds of the higher division in order to play up.
Players wishing to play down should also coordinate with the Player Agent. This is a special circumstance granted at The League’s discretion.
